AIDS Awareness and Disease Prevention Series

AIDS Awareness and Disease Prevention Series

AIDS is a pandemic, a disease that has infected over 33 million people and killed over 2 million others worldwide since it was identified back in the early 1980s. Although there are treatments for AIDS and HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus that causes AIDS, there still is no vaccine or cure. Hepatitis C is another virus that can outmaneuver the human immune system; there too is no vaccine for this dangerous virus, which too can lead to death. Educating people is key to preventing infections and helping control the spread of disease. This series of programs was produced to enlighten viewers about AIDS and HIV, and other potentially dangerous diseases, with the hope of assisting in the prevention of the spread of disease, and to raise awareness and compassion for those afflicted with these illnesses. Series: 3 programs (15 to 30 minutes).
