Commercial Voice-Over - Level 1

This informative program introduces viewers to Director/Teacher/Voice Actor Dave Sebastian Williams and features insights for actors and voice-over directors. After meeting Mr. Williams viewers are offered a wealth of information that includes: getting an agent, honing your craft, the difference between a commercial and voice-over agent, an audio demo-tape sample, packaging, dubbing and cost. Next, students audition with Mr. Williams directing and teaching. The subjects covered include: relating to a microphone, handling copy, preparation of copy, the technician's relationship, levels, group reading, timing, audible support, emotions and "donuts" (singers), careers in voice-over: radio, airline headset, background voices, known as Walla, automated dialogue replacement (ADR), narration, books on tape, variety show announcing, video games and industrial films. 98/08DE JSCA 30 min.
