4. Wreck of a Marriage: Divorce, Sofie's & Rudolph's Story

"Highly Recommended. Don't let the animation of this program fool you. Whether it's a political cartoon, a comic book, or an animated program for TV or the movies, sometimes, as in this case, animation is a highly effective tool in getting important points across about marriage and divorce." -National Media Review
Divorce can be a difficult topic to address, no matter what age a person is; thus, these animated stories are not necessarily for younger audiences only. The stories behind the divorce of Sofie and Rudolph, and the effects it has on their children and the in-laws; can be utilized to open up discussions for all ages. The program is divided into 3/15-minute parts. Part 1: The Divorce - Sofie and Rudolph fall in love and start a family; however, work, childcare and at-home pressures cause the couple to get divorced. Part 2: Sofie's Story - A single mother with an 8-year-old daughter faces new difficulties, be it work and money, grandparent issues, or even a new boyfriend. Part 3: Rudolph's Story - Rudolph learns quickly how difficult being a divorced husband - and father - really is. And he can't help but look back at where things went wrong.
