This award-winning program, a collaboration of poetry, performance and experimental cinematography presents the performance art of "Kinesis," developed by Mary-Averett Seelye, in which she takes the poetry of U.S. Poet Laureate (1971 - 73) Josephine Jacobsen off the printed page, choreographs and performs it, speaking and moving simultaneously. Here we see recordings of the performances, interviews with Seelye and Jacobsen, as well as producer Vin Grabill's visual interpretaion of Seelye's performance of Ponicherry Blues.
