Our health, and therefore our quality of life, is intimately linked with what we eat. This helpful how-to program offers practical guidelines to achieve a wholesome, balanced diet. Host Brendan Gregory and author Dr. Rosy Daniel (Healing Foods; Eat to Beat Cancer; The Cancer Directory), the Medical Director of Health Creation and a holistic medical practitioner, remind viewers that because we are all different, what works for some, may not necessarily work for others; so it's vital to examine what we eat and the effects different foods have on our physical health, well-being and overall sense of vitality. We are shown how to divide our foods between whole grains, vegetables, and beans, nuts and soups; we see charts of foods that provide proteins, oils and fats, carbohydrates, calcium and iron; plus nutritional sources for Vitamins A, B12, C, and D; we are encouraged to use organically and locally grown foods that are natural and whole, as well as free range animal products; and we are warned about the overuse of sugar, processed foods, dairy products and meat.
