Tree Stories

This program includes eight tree related stories: Crabapple: Grandma and Terrell come across a crabapple. Though crabapples are sour, the story tells of a crabapple tree that holds its own against the other kinds of apple trees in the orchard. Fallen Log: After finding a fallen log during their walk, Grandma explains to Terrell that such logs are often homes for small animals and bugs. She then tells a story of a wood mouse who strays too far from home. Birch Bark: Terrell finds a piece of birch bark and his Grandma tells him a tale about a chipmunk that learns to respect nature. Driftwood: When Terrell finds a piece of driftwood, his Grandma tells a story of how some driftwood got brought in from the cold. Acorn: When Terrell finds an acorn, Grandma Ella tells him a story about an acorn who is afraid to fall from its branch. Whirligig: Terrell finds a whirligig and shows it to his Grandma Ella. She in turn tells him a story about a dancing whirligig who becomes a great maple tree. Leaf: Terrell finds a leaf on his walk with Grandma Ella. She tells him a tale of a misfit leaf that finds a loving home.
