Alison Pill (The Judy Garland Story) stars as Emma Redding, a headstrong and stubborn teenager who is popular, has great friends, a wonderful boyfriend, and is a good student. After she begins to work at a local fast food restaurant and discovers people are being treated unfairly there, she decides to risk everything to take on big business. Very quickly she learns who her true friends are as she tries to start a union; her best friend backs out and she loses her boyfriend as well. She's faced with wondering if all her good intentions are worth the effort. Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal) and and Kevin Tighe (Emergency) co-star in this drama that inspires teens to do what's right and to be individuals.
