08. Luscious Lucite and Resin (cc)

The secret to great food and great jewelry is great ingredients and sometimes the use of an unexpected element. In this program we're having fun with some trendy materials, luscious Lucite and resin. First, Mark Nelson introduces us to doming resin in a "super" pendant. Then it's a viewer question about attaching magnetic clasps, answered by Katie Hacker. Next, we cook up a trendy bracelet with Marlene Blessing, featuring Lucite beads as the main ingredient, and lots of charms to infuse it with fun. Then we travel on location to meet wire and glass bead artist Sally Stevens of Sunroom Studios. Last up, noted designer Paula Radke has a beautiful textured necklace with special glass beads. 2009/CC Closed-Captioned JSCA 30 min.
