Catch Me If You Can 1 & 2: Grazers and Predators

Catch Me If You Can 1 & 2: Grazers and Predators

A combined version of Catch Me If You Can 1: Grazers and Catch Me If You Can 2: Presators is available.
Featuring expert filmmaking at three spectacular locations: Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming), Denali National Park (Alaska), and Kluane National Park (Yukon Territory), this two-part documentary illustrates how the play of young animals manifests itself in adult behaviors, looking at two distinct groups: "Grazers" in Part 1; "Predators" in Part 2. All free-range animals were filmed in their natural environments. "Grazers" shows the young of antelope, elk, bison and Dall sheep. Here we discover the young grazers must learn where to locate food, how to obtain dominance in the herd, and how to keep from being eaten by a predator. "Predators" depicts young coyotes, wolf, grizzly bear, black bear and otter. Here we discover, young predators on the other hand must learn similar things as grazing animals, but also how to kill for their food. Produced by Trailwood Films. 08/12DE IJSCA 46 min.
