Ultraviolet light - UV light - and human skin just don't mix, and too much UV light can lead to Sunburn, sunstroke, and the much more serious consequence - skin cancer, or melanoma. The best way to protect yourself is to cover up with protective clothing and use a broad spectrum sunscreen. Another way to protect yourself from the ravages of the sun is to wear UV resistant Sunglasses.
