NOT A STILL LIFE

Steve Stone is a self-described "Jewish, gay, animal rights, vegetarian, recovering alcoholic... individual”; he is also an engaging storyteller with a life full of captivating tales. "Not a Still Life" is the story of Steve’s search for identity and sense of belonging as it retraces his personal journey, along with reflecting a few key aspects of gay social history in America, from the 1950's into the 2020's. After the loss of his partner to AIDS, Steve finds a place of belonging in an inclusive synagogue, but as his story unfolds we discover he is faced with a burning question involving both his survival and his identity.
