Searching for Orson

"Captures the love and admiration so many people still maintain for the Renaissance man, Orson Welles." -Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter

Fittingly narrated by Peter Bogdanovich, this extensively researched biography of the legendary entertainer Orson Welles, features interviews with friends, family, and colleagues who knew him best, including Bogdanovich, Steven Spielberg, James Earl Jones, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Frank Marshall, Paul Mazursky, Henry Jaglom, Gary Graver, and Merv Griffin. It is filled with archival footage from a number of his unfinished films, including "The Deep" and “The Other Side of the Wind,” which after a number of attempts was completed and released in 2018; rare home movie footage and little-known stories of Welles' family; and from her private collection of clips and stills, we learn the emotional memoirs of actress Oja Kodar, who was Welles' companion in the latter years of his life.
